I created this collection of 100 tiny paintings as part of the 100 Days Project, a global art initiative. The purpose was to make a commitment to myself to create art every day and to share my love (and concern) for coral reefs and their residents.
Familiar Fish I started this project by asking social media followers to nominate their picks for fish that are ‘classic’ reef fish
Pretty Fish The natural outcome of the first category were the fish people nominated as the most beautiful
Seahorses As I was working on this project, I came across a news feed announcement describing Project Seahorse. This collection was the result.
Pipefish 10 days wasn’t enough, so I included pipefish and other Syngnathiformes (because I LOVE Ghost Pipefish)
Ugly Fish This supposed to be my third collection, following on the heels of ‘Pretty Fish’
Transformers I had a dive trip that coincided with the 100 Days timeframe. I decided to paint a series that show-cased fish that radically change during their lifespans. That way I could post pairs of paintings to catch up for being off-line
Scorpionfish These are some of my favorites
Fan Favorite: Blennies This category was suggested by a follower
Fan Favorite: Sharks Another category that was suggested by my fellow divers
